G: 3 1/2

I can't forget to note that Grant turned 3 1/2 last week. Lately he has been an explosion of vocabulary, sentences and songs. While driving back from Chicago the other day, he talked nonstop for three hours, a mishmash of stories, songs and questions. And yes, "why?" is one of the most frequently asked. 

He seems to be flourishing at school this year, coming home to teach us whatever he's learning, including the continents, Spanish words and courtesy: "Mom, you need to wait until everyone has been served before you start eating" and "Would you like a snack? Say 'yes, please' or 'no, thank you.'"

He still loves animals, trains, books, apples and the outdoors. And most important, still loves to snuggle with his mamma.

It's such a cliche, but it's true: he's growing up so fast. {And a recent haircut makes him look even older.}
