A Morning at the Tree Farm

With Thanksgiving behind us, we took a trip to Kingman Tree Farm on Saturday morning to pick out and cut down a Christmas tree.

 It was my first time cutting down my own tree.

 G begged to go on the horse-drawn wagon ride, which he loved for the first five minutes -- until the hot chocolate ran out.

M was happy, bundled up in his hat and blanket.

 On this day, of all days, we saw wild turkeys in our backyard for the first time.

Trying to savor these sweet moments with Baby M, knowing that he'll be big before long. Someday soon he'll be too busy to snuggle with me, too big to fit in the crook of my arm.

3 Month Baby M

This month Baby M weighs nearly 13 pounds, giggles and is becoming more social. His favorite activities include snuggling, smiling at anyone who will pay attention to him and observing his big brother. I went back to work part time two weeks ago, so he's had to get used to bottles and being away from me for longer stretches of time. He's still our happy, easy-going baby.

First Snow

We woke up to a layer of snow on the ground this morning. G, who doesn't remember snow from last year, couldn't stop looking out the window. "It's so messy!" he said. He couldn't resist reaching down to touch it before getting in the car. "Oooh, it's cold." He seemed surprised.
