Chicago Weekend

We took a road trip to Chicago recently because I wanted to see the house I grew up in for the last time before it's sold. Grandma and Grandpa moved last year to a smaller house in the western suburbs.  

While we'll very much miss visiting them in Oak Park, their new neighborhood is nice too, with a great park just a few blocks away. And we were able to ride our bikes to Brookfield Zoo on Saturday, where the boys visited their favorite animals on a beautiful summer day.

Grant begged to go back to the Field Museum to see Sue the T-Rex, and his new favorite creature--the saber-toothed tiger. The trip was a hit, and he even came home with a new saber-toothed tiger toy that he named Grant.
