Catching Up

So...winter.

The boys skied for the first time:

We took a weekend getaway to Minnesota of all places, where the boys loved jumping from one hotel bed to the other:

In Minneapolis, we also visited our favorite children's bookstore, the Wild Rumpus:

For the first time, the boys are truly friends. They spent hours over the winter playing imaginative games together, snuggling, telling jokes, giggling wildly. We love them and love that they love each other.

Phoenix With Friends

In early March we took a much-needed getaway to Arizona with friends. The timing was perfect—everyone was getting tired of the cold and snow and being stuck inside. We hiked and explored Phoenix and spent lots of time in the pool. Frankly, the boys would have been content to play with rocks in the backyard all day. They were so happy to be outside.

Easter 2015

Sorry for the long silence. We were hibernating during the long winter. But...spring is finally here. The grass has just started to turn from brown to green, and last week our daffodils made appearances. The boys are growing and changing, too.

We spent Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's with the cousins. The boys had a great time hunting for Easter eggs with their cousins--a hunt that's growing more and more competitive--and eating too much candy.
